Dlala Nje Grant Ngcobo CEO

Grant Ngcobo

CEO | Grant's journey at Dlala Nje started from the very beginning. As a 14-year-old boy, Grant participated in Dlala Nje's activities at the community center in 2012. Over the years, he progressed to become a tour guide in 2016 and currently serves as the CEO of the organisation. Email: grant@dlalanje.org

Sifiso Zikhali

Deputy CEO | Since joining Dlala Nje in 2018, Sifiso has become one of the most knowledgeable guides in Joburg. With backgrounds in both Soweto and Joburg, his experiences promise interesting stories for visitors. In 2022 he was appointed Deputy CEO and took charge of daily operations. Zeluleko Nkomo

Community Centre Director | Known as MaZet, Zeluleko has been overseeing our junior community center since 2018. She brings extensive knowledge in child development, evident in her motherly love and passion for working with kids. MaZet is the go-to person for inquiries about the children's programs and schedules at Dlala Nje. Email: zet@dlalanje.org

Ntandosi Pilime

Programs manager | Ntandosi, or MaNtando, joined us in early 2019. She manages our literacy and homework programs, oversees the center on weekends, coordinates events and even serves as our chef. Her love for working with kids, stemming from her own experience as a mother, keeps our centre thriving. Email: ntando@dlalanje.org

Delight Sithole

Lead Tour Guide & Content Creator | Delight joined us in 2018 and has become known for his friendly and informative demeanour as a guide. After several years of leading our inner city tours, he now heads the tours team. As well as creates all our online content.

Zodwa Sabela

5101 Events Manager | Zodwa initially used the Dlala library to study for exams as high school student before joining as a general worker in 2018. She quickly rose to tour guide before becoming our venue and events manager. She ensures everyone has the best experience in our spectacular 51st floor venue. Email: cynthia@dlalanje.org

Alvaro Tshikapa

Senior Tour Guide | Alvaro, one of our youngest recruits from the Dlala Nje system, grew up in the inner city and leads tours through Hillbrow with pride. His knowledge and passion make him the perfect guide for insightful experiences. Outside of work, Alvaro enjoys playing soccer with the kids in Ponte. Email: alvaro@dlalanje.org

Julian Ngcobo

Tour Guide | Julian recently graduated from Dlala System training and is a recent addition to our tours team. His fresh perspective and knowledge of nighttime experiences make him a valuable asset. Sboniso Thombeni

Teen Center Supervisor | Recently joining the team, Sboniso oversees all programs at our teen center. Loved by teens and admired for his performances in drama shows, Sboniso brings a wealth of experience and energy to our organization.

Nick Bauer

Nickolaus Bauer

Dlala Nje Foundation & Fundraising | Bauer has been with Dlala Nje from the start as co-founder. Using his decades of experience in journalism to tell the story of challenging perceptions & creating opportunity in the heart of Johannesburg. He devised many of our tours, set up the majority of our structures and remains a mentor to the team. He is currently in charge of the Dlala Nje Foundation & all fundraising projects.
